Type 285/286 Operation
This range of ceiling / wall mount housings have been designed to provide elegant
but cost effective protection for indoor surveillance cameras. The housing is all
steel construction with replaceable glass window (polycarbonate to special order)
powder coated and stoved. The cover is hinged at the rear with a vandal proof 1/4
turn lock at the front. The base to ceiling fixings are only accessible when the
cover is open, which adds up to a high degree of vandal protection. 20mm Dia.
cable entry holes are provided at the rear and in the base. The camera platform
offers a limited degree of pan & tilt movement which enable the installer to adjust
the camera viewing direction after the housing has been fitted. A Ceiling Tile
Option is available comprising the standard housing mounted to a 3mm thick
600mm (2 foot) square alum alloy ceiling tile via a cable feed through pivot, with a
locking screw.This arrangement enables the housing to be rotated to point in any
desired direction. By the addition of a right angled bracket the housing can be con-
verted to the Wall Mount Option allowing the camera to be mounted at any posi-
tion on a wall.
