The model 8520 Smoke Detector Transmitter is a battery powered smoke alarm with a built-in supervised transmitter. It is designed to automatically send a status message every three hours to your Central Controller or Wireless Siren/Controller.

Your AT&T Model 8520 has a built-in photoelectric smoke alarm. when it detects smoke particles in the air, it sounds its own horn and sends a fire alarm message to your AT&T Security System 8000 or 8000LA. When the message is received by your System 8000 or 8000LA, the system will sound a steady uninterrupted tone from its siren. Any external sirens in the system are set to sound after a 40-second delay. If your system has an optional telephone dialer, the Central Controller is programmed to automatically call your Monitoring Service when an alarm sounds.
